The Maria Watt Birmingham Foundation for Childhood & Teenage Leukaemia Registered Charity No 1118733 is a small, family run charity dedicated to raising awareness of Leukaemia and Other Cancers in Children and Young People. With the support of a number of families whose children have been diagnosed with cancer, we have set up the Be Child Cancer Aware campaign. This campaign aims to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of the various cancers that affect children and young people.
We believe that by raising awareness, earlier diagnosis can be achieved which, in turn will save more lives in the future. There are in the region of 4,000 children and teenagers diagnosed with Cancer each year of which 1,500 will not survive. Please visit the BCCA website www.bechildcanceraware.org to become more aware.
All proceeds from the sale of Charitecards will be collected by The Maria Watt Birmingham Foundation for Childhood & Teenage Leukaemia and held for the Be Child Cancer Aware campaign. We aim to raise enough funds to produce and distribute an information card detailing the signs and symptoms to all families of school age children. |
