| BRACE - Alzheimer's Research support internationally recognised, groundbreaking, research into Alzheimer's Disease and other forms of dementia. Dementia afflicts an alarmingly high proportion of people, most commonly in old age. It currently affects over 800,000 people in the UK and this figure may double by the year 2040. Funding for dementia research is still very low compared with many other forms of medical research, such as cancer. However, the urgency is increasing.
